TRI-WALL OPENS NEW SITE IN UK

A wholly owned subsidiary of Rengo Group, Tri-Wall UK Ltd is a leading  manufacturer in multi-material packaging solutions. The company has launched a major strategic investment plan, including the opening of a new 60,000 sq ft manufacturing premises in Wednesbury, West Midlands.
Situated in the heart of the UK’s distribution epicentre, the new facility will significantly enhance the company’s ability to serve its growing customer base with increased service level, capacity and creation of new jobs in the local community.
This expansion is a key part of Tri-Wall’s ongoing commitment to strengthening its UK presence and supporting its customers through the entire supply chain. The facility is equipped with state-of-theart machinery, enabling Tri-Wall to offer an even wider range of innovative packaging solutions.

BXM in Focus

One of the first production lines to start up is the BX Motion (BXM) short run boxmaking line, manufactured by KOLBUS Group GmbH. The BXM was installed and commissioned in the late spring, moving in to full production mode in early July.
“We are delighted that Tri-Wall UK have chosen this high performance, German-engineered solution for short run boxmaking,”
said Greg Bird, Managing Director, Kolbus UK. “The Kolbus BXM can make customised boxes from single, double, and triplewall board. Each module can be individually adapted to specific requirements, including the sequence of individual processes. Transport rollers and tools are positioned automatically according to FEFCO code and format and automated djustment of all creasing/cutting tools for precise positioning in less than 60 seconds makes this an easy to operate high performance workhorse. An autofeeder and stacker allow for automatic oneman operation.”

Focus on Sustainability

A cornerstone of the investment is sustainability. The new factory is being powered with zero fossil fuels, a significant step towards Tri-Wall’s ambitious 2030 and 2050 sustainability goals by minimising its environmental impact. “This investment in the West Midlands is a testament to our commitment to the UK market and, most importantly, to our customers,” says Gavin Peters,
UK CEO of Tri-Wall. “Market demands are evolving, and the need for faster, more efficient, and more sustainable packaging solutions has never been greater.
This state-of-the-art facility will ensure we can meet our customers’ growing needs and service requirements, solidifying our promise to support them at every stage of their supply chain.” The new Wednesbury site will work in collaboration with Tri-Wall’s other UK locations to provide comprehensive national coverage for its expanding customer base.
