New wrapping technology for cardboard box production
The Boxline Wrapper is a fully automatic laminating machine for producing packaging, lids, and boxes by forming plates. The machine enables the non-stop, four-sided laminating panel blanks without forming tools at up to 40 cycles per minute, even with deep and short wraps. Box size and model changeover without changing the forming tools.

KOLBUS already benefited from decades of experience in manufacturing machines for book production. The cutting and laminating of board for luxury packaging is similar in many aspects to the production of book covers, and we used this know-how to open up new markets. KOLBUS not only adapted its existing casemakers for cardboard box production, but also began to develop completely new solutions, e.g. with new technologies for magnet insertion and laminating, creasing, punching and forming.
Many customers who had previously ordered folding cartons now also ordered cardboard boxes. These are retailers, but also industrial customers in the gift, cosmetics and technology sectors. As demand grew, Keskeny once again invested in KOLBUS technology. The company added a Box Line Taper BLT 200 and a Box Line Wrapper BLW 200 to its box production machinery.
