Kolbus Welcomes a New Era with Max Valier Holding Acquisition

Effective January 1, 2025, KOLBUS GmbH & Co. KG was acquired by Max Valier Holding through an asset deal and will now operate under the name KOLBUS Group GmbH. The acquisition ensures the retention of all relevant foreign subsidiaries, including those in the USA, Mexico, Great Britain, China, and Europe.

The company is now led by Dr. Thomas Grimm-Bosbach, an experienced managing director. “I am impressed by the user-friendliness, quality, and efficiency of KOLBUS solutions. These attributes have secured its position in the market. It’s an exciting opportunity to initiate a new chapter of growth and innovation for this globally respected company,” said Dr. Grimm-Bosbach.

Based in East Westphalia, Germany, KOLBUS is renowned for its high-quality engineering, specializing in the design and manufacturing of premium packaging machinery. The company’s expertise extends to consulting, commissioning, and ensuring long-term operational reliability. With more than 125 years of experience in iron casting, KOLBUS operates its own foundry alongside its mechanical engineering division. Its product portfolio includes casemakers, flexographic rotary die-cutters, and packaging systems.

 

KOLBUS continues to serve the global market, providing highly flexible and modular machinery for producing corrugated and grey board packaging, serving the luxury and industrial sectors.
